The New England Patriots made two roster moves prior to Super Bowl LX.

New England announced the additions of linebacker Patrick Johnson and wide receiver Trent Sherfield Sr. to the practice squad on Wednesday.

Johnson, 28, originally entered the league as a seventh-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2021 NFL Draft, before eventually joining the New York Giants. Johnson then rejoined the Eagles to spent time on both the practice squad and the active roster in 2025.

Sherfield, 29, was released after just 11 days with the organization on the eve of the AFC Championship, but has been brought back to help with preparations for the Super Bowl. Sherfield made three total receptions, one of which was a touchdown, this season for the Denver Broncos before eventually being cut loose on Nov. 15.

The Patriots will officially begin practicing on Thursday, before departing for Santa Clara, Calif. on Sunday.
