The New England Patriots will once again have to tap into their “road dawg” mentality…

New England, which has not lost on the road this season, will head on the road to play in the 2026 AFC Championship Game on Sunday. It’s no ordinary matchup, however, as it will come in an environment and against a team in which they’ve had very little postseason success: the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.

Will Campbell isn’t worried

“We’ve won eight games on the road and lost zero so far. I mean, I’d say that’s pretty good,” Campbell said in the locker room on Wednesday, per team-provided video. “… Whenever you go into a road environment you don’t have a ton of fans on your side. It’s kinda just the guys on the sideline and I honestly kinda like it that way.”

Campbell might not know much of the history between the two franchises, with the home team winning each of the previous five postseason meetings — four of which came in Denver, Colorado.

The Patriots will hope to make history, as they push their undefeated record to 9-0 and secure a spot in Super Bowl LX.
