The New England Patriots are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2021, and they will be looking to make some noise. After earning the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Patriots will host the Los Angeles Chargers in their wild-card matchup on Sunday.

Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, the 2025 campaign will go down as a major success for New England. In the first year of Mike Vrabel’s tenure as the team’s head coach, he has led a stunning turnaround that saw the Pats go from winning just four games in 2024 to winning 14 in 2025.

And make no mistake, this team has its eyes set on a championship run, even if expectations for them in the playoffs aren’t sky high. Ahead of their clash with the Chargers, the Patriots revealed that they will be rocking their blue jersey/silver pants combo when they take the field next.

This is New England’s usual home uniform combo, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see that this is what the team decided to wear for their big game. While the Pats enjoyed more success on the road this season, posting an 8-0 record, you can bet playing in front of a home crowd at Gillette Stadium will provide the team with a big boost.

Los Angeles is a bit of a unique opponent for N.E. At its best, L.A. is capable of being one of the top teams in the league, but it has struggled to find consistency throughout Justin Herbert’s tenure under center. If he can get going against a vulnerable Pats’ defense, though, the Chargers could have a shot to pull off an upset victory.

The Patriots haven’t exactly played in many big games this season, but it’s clear that they will be challenged in a way they have never experienced when they take the field next. Kickoff for this contest is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night.
