The New England Patriots are getting themselves ready for what figures to be their biggest challenge of the season when they square off against the Houston Texans in their upcoming divisional round matchup. On Thursday, the team welcomed one of its franchise legends to town to watch their practice.

That franchise legend would be Tedy Bruschi, who spent his entire 13-year playing career with the Patriots. During his time with the team, Bruschi won three Super Bowls, while also earning one Pro Bowl selection and a pair of All-Pro Second Team honors.

Bruschi was a longtime teammate of Mike Vrabel, who is now New England’s head coach. Bruschi was in town for work, though, as he was likely attending this practice in an attempt to get some background information on the team before it takes the field against Houston.

Bruschi’s presence at practice is a bit of a full-circle moment, as he played a pivotal role in helping launch New England’s dynasty back in 2001. Now, the team is looking to announce itself to the world in 2025 with a completely new team by going on another unexpected Super Bowl run.

So far, the Pats have met every challenge they have faced. The Texans are going to be a tough team for the Patriots to eliminate, though, as they feature perhaps the most dominant defense in the entire league.

If New England can protect the football and limit Houston’s offense, which could be without star wide receiver Nico Collins, it will have a great shot at winning this game. Kickoff for this contest is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
