The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh after their season ended without a playoff berth, and Baltimore quickly became a hot destination for head coaches.
Lamar Jackson is a two-time NFL MVP and the next head coach of the Ravens will get to work with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. That, paired with the other stars the Ravens have, makes them a very desirable destination for candidates.
Among the candidates for the Ravens is Kevin Stefanski, who was fired by the Cleveland Browns, a division rival. The Ravens have already interviewed Stefanski, and USA Today’s Jack McKessy predicted the Ravens would hire him.
“The 2026 Ravens’ roster, as it is currently projected, could be the most talented group Stefanski has had a chance to coach, particularly on the offensive side of the ball,” wrote McKessy on Tuesday. “That, combined with Stefanski’s years of experience as a head coach elsewhere in the AFC North, could mean the Ravens quickly return to perennial playoff contenders after a down 2025 season featuring an 8-9 record.”
Stefanski is a two-time Coach of the Year Award winner and had two 11-win seasons with the Browns. Despite the Browns’ issues at quarterback, he was able to help them reach the playoffs twice.

Stefanski is a bright offensive mind and could be a great coach for Jackson and the Ravens offense, which has the pieces to be the best in the league. Jackson would by far the best quarterback Stefanski has ever worked with.
The Ravens are looking to get back into the playoffs in a loaded AFC. They are likely to hire a head coach with experience, perhaps shortening the list of potential candidates. Mike Tomlin, who just stepped down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is another rival head coach who might make sense.
However, if Tomlin does not want to coach, Stefanski is one of the veteran options available to Baltimore.
