The Boston Red Sox announced seven non-roster invitees for spring training on Tuesday.
Boston extended invitations to catcher Jason Delay, infielder Vinny Capra, right-handed pitchers Osvaldo Berrios, Hobie Harris and Devin Sweet, and left-handed pitchers Alec Gamboa and T.J. Sikkema.
Delay, 30, spent time with the Pittsburgh Pirates across three seasons from 2022-2024, where he slashed .231/.295/.315 with 38 RBIs. Delay split time between Double-A Columbus and Triple-A Gwinnett as part of the Atlanta Braves organization in 2025.
Capra, 29, split time playing for the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago White Sox in 2025, slashing .125/.157/.177. Capra previously spent time with the Toronto Blue Jays (2022) and Pittsburgh Pirates (2023).
Berrios, 26, posted a 5.12 ERA with 62 strikeouts across stints with Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis as part of the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2025.

Harris, 32, recorded a 4.05 ERA with 45 strikeouts across stints with the FCL Red Sox and Triple-A Worcester in 2025. Harris previously pitched for the Washington Nationals (2023).
Sweet, 29, pitched in 46 games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley as part of the Philadelphia Phillies organization in 2025, which came after stints with the Seattle Mariners (2023) and the then-Oakland Athletics (2023).
Gamboa, 28, primarily spent time with the Lotte Giants of the Korean Baseball League in 2025.

Sikkema, 27, pitched in 23 games between Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Louisville as part of the Cincinnati Reds organization in 2025.
