Boston remains in the market for bullpen arms, which has included showing interest in left-handers Justin Wilson, Cionel Perez, Tim Mayza and Danny Coulombe, and right-handers Seranthony Domínguez and Kahnle, according to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo and Sean McAdam.
Kahnle, 36, is the newest addition to that list, though interest between both sides stems back several years and is reignited almost every offseason.
Kahnle, who has a 3.23 ERA across stints with the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers since 2022, rejected them twice across that stretch to ultimately chase championships with teams coming off division titles.
