The New York Rangers suffered a lopsided 10-2 road loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

New York led 1-0 early, but allowed six straight, and before allowing another four unanswered to lose 10-2. It was a stunning result, and head coach Mike Sullivan didn’t even know what to say about the embarrassing loss.

“I don’t have words,” Sullivan said postgame. “I don’t have words.”

Rangers captain J.T. Miller, meanwhile, said it was frustrating and called the loss as bad as it gets.

“We’re all grown men with pride and egos, and that’s as bad as it gets,” Miller said. “The only thing that really matters now is this should sting, like this should suck, like this should make you want to puke. …

“This should make you want to puke and then respond tomorrow and the next day. The only thing that matters is the response.”

It was a bold statement from the Rangers captain, while star forward Mika Zibanejad, who scored the first goal of the game, called it embarrassing.

“Embarrassing,” Zibanejad said. “Any time you lose a game 10-2, it’s embarrassing. I don’t know what else to say, honestly.”

With the loss, the Rangers fell to 20-20-6. Boston, meanwhile, improved to 24-19-2 and will return to the ice at home on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
