Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark went viral this week after she reacted poorly to Reggie Miller comparing her to Boston Celtics star Payton Pritchard.

During her appearance on NBC’s Sunday Night Basketball, Clark’s face immediately dropped when Miller compared her to Pritchard. Clearly, it was not a name she was expecting to hear.

While Pritchard may not be a superstar or even an All-Star, he’s still a pretty good player. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year is also an NBA champion, an elite shooter and rebounder for his size, and one of the league’s better guards.

Even Clark’s friend and Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton wants to be more like Pritchard.

Clark may have realized that and come around on Miller’s comparison based on her social media activity this week.

After Pritchard nailed a buzzer-beater to end the first quarter against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, Clark shared the video clip on X with a caption of three smirking face emojis, indicating that maybe she approves of the comparison after all.

The Celtics went on to beat the Mavericks behind a big game from Pritchard, who finished with 26 points, seven assists and four rebounds.

During her first trip to Boston last summer with the Fever, Clark said she enjoys watching the Celtics play and appreciates their good 3-point shooters. While she didn’t mention Pritchard specifically, it seems like she’s paying more attention to him now.
