A long-rumored New England Patriots trade target will reportedly be available this offseason.

NFL executives expect the Philadelphia Eagles to “at least entertain” trade offers for A.J. Brown, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The insider said on Thursday’s “Get Up” that the star wide receiver is “unhappy on numerous fronts.”

“Name the counts where it looked like he was miserable out there,” Fowler said. “Body language wasn’t good. So, something has to give. That’s sort of the feeling right now.”

Brown began his NFL career with Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans for three seasons before getting sent to Philadelphia during the 2022 draft. He’s recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns and won a Super Bowl last year, but the three-time Pro Bowler didn’t enjoy his typical success in 2025.

While Brown scored seven receiving touchdowns for the third straight season, he recorded a career-low 12.9 yards per reception with his fewest yards per game (66.9) since his 2019 rookie campaign.

Brown continued to endure the maddening ebbs and flows of an inconsistent Eagles offense. He finished three games (all Eagles wins) with fewer than 15 yards and settled for 25 yards on three catches in a first-round playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

If the Eagles are shopping him, the Vrabel connection is just one reason the Patriots could make a sensible landing spot. New England can use a true No. 1 wide receiver for Drake Maye’s offense, especially if Stefon Diggs doesn’t return next season.
