They were frontcourt teammates on the Boston Celtics within the last year, and now, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford are frontcourt teammates on the Golden State Warriors.
Porzingis, who was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in the offseason, was traded again on Wednesday, this time to Golden State. The Warriors sent over Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield in exchange.
This 2025-26 season has been challenging for Porzingis, due to ongoing health issues.
In 17 appearances, KP has averaged 17.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 24.3 minutes per game, shooting 45.7% from the field and 36.0% from three. His production shows flashes of his scoring ability, like a 29-point outing against New Orleans in late December, but left Achilles tendinitis caused him to miss 12 straight games from mid-January onward.

Once healthy, Porzingis could bolster Golden State’s frontcourt alongside Draymond Green, adding depth to their playoff push. Throughout his career, spanning 518 games, he holds averages of 19.6 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks, marked by talent tempered by recurring injuries.
Porzingis was a member of the 2024 Celtic title team. He’s also played for the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards since being drafted fourth overall in 2015.
