Monday officially kicked off Super Bowl Opening Night, and one reporter posed a wild question to New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
The reporter inquired if Vrabel considers Sunday’s game a “must-win” situation.
“I think every time we go out is a ‘must-win’ game, that’s kind of the attitude I’ve always taken,” Vrabel said.
Certainly, the Super Bowl is a “must-win” game, just like every NFL matchup each week during the season. The NFL stands out as one of the most unique leagues, as each team plays only 17 regular season games. With so few games on the schedule, every game feels like it’s part of the playoffs.

Vrabel comes across as someone who takes winning and losing very seriously. If any Patriots fan had any lingering doubts about whether Vrabel would treat the Super Bowl with the seriousness it deserves, he certainly put everyone’s mind at ease.
The Patriots are striving to become the first team to claim seven Super Bowl rings, aiming to achieve that milestone by defeating the Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, Vrabel is on the hunt to make history as the first individual to win a Super Bowl both as a player and as a head coach for the same franchise.
