The New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl and now have a target on their backs in the AFC.
After establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league, every team in the AFC will be looking to dethrone the Patriots. Among those teams is the Buffalo Bills, who saw the Patriots win the AFC East last season.
The Bills need to improve if they want to take the AFC East back from the Patriots, and they could start by looking at their receiving corps. CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani predicted the Bills would make a monster trade to acquire Justin Jefferson to help take the division back from the Patriots.
Trading for Jefferson would be a move that does more than just help the Bills get past the Patriots. It is the type of move that could help them get over the hump. Jefferson is one of the best receivers in the league, and adding him could help the Bills finally get to the Super Bowl with Josh Allen.
Jefferson is a four-time Pro Bowler, two-time First-Team All-Pro, Offensive Player of the Year Award winner and two-time Second-Team All-Pro. He has 8,480 receiving yards in six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.

He was not as great last season, as his quarterback situation was not great. J.J. McCarthy struggled in his first year as the starter, but Jefferson still managed to surpass 1,000 yards. He has 42 receiving touchdowns in six seasons.
The Bills are a great team, but their failure to replace Stefon Diggs has held them back in the last two seasons. Diggs was one of the best receivers in the league with Allen. Perhaps adding another receiver from the Vikings could yield even better results.
Allen and Jefferson have the potential to be the best duo in football. Jefferson going to the Bills would undoubtedly make things more difficult for the Patriots next season.
