The Boston Red Sox will go for a series victory over the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park on Thursday night.

Boston, which has now won seven of its last nine games, dropped the middle game by a 5-2 verdict Wednesday.

Facing a right-hander in Luis Medina, Red Sox manager Alex Cora will get back to the lineup from Boston’s series-opening victory.

David Hamilton will bat second and play second base, Wilyer Abreu will return to right field and bat seventh and Dominic Smith will take over for Romy Gonzalez at first base and bat eighth.
