One of the best pass-catchers in NFL history has a bone to pick with Tom Brady.

Terrell Owens appeared on the latest episode of the “Bubba Dub Show” and recalled an attempt to team up with Brady. Owens saw an opportunity to latch on with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers near the end of the 2021 regular season after Antonio Brown’s infamous meltdown at MetLife Stadium.

But according to the Pro Football Hall of Famer, Brady never gave him the time of day.

“Tom Brady ignored me, bro,” Owens said, as transcribed by the New York Post. “I reached out to him through Randy (Moss) and a couple of other people, you know this dude really ignored me, bro.”

Owens added: “Just shows you how, like, the lack of respect is, but then when they get in front of you they want to act like they respect you.”

While Owens surely would disagree, there was no point in Brady picking up the phone a few years ago. The six-time Pro Bowl selection was 48 years old when he tried to take his talents to Tampa Bay and hadn’t caught a pass in an NFL game since the 2010 season. A return to the league at that juncture was beyond a pipe dream.

It won’t be too much longer until Brady and Owens are “teammates,” though. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is expected to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio on his first attempt in 2028.
