The Boston Celtics rode into the summer with plenty of momentum among their starts after winning the NBA finals for the franchise’s 18th championship.

Since then, Celtics stars Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White all suited up for the Olympics with Team USA. In a rather surprising move at the time, Jaylen Brown did not join the team when Kawhi Leonard’s spot opened up.

The eyebrow-raising moves surrounding the Celtics stars only continued when head coach Steve Kerr did not play Tatum in Sunday’s contest for Team USA.
