The Bruins announced multiple roster moves ahead of their preseason finale against the Washington Capitals.

General manager Don Sweeney announced in a press release that Boston recalled forwards Riley Duran, Brett Harrison, Georgii Merkulov and Jaxon Nelson, defensemen Michael Callahan and Jackson Edward and goaltenders Ryan Bischel and Kasimir Kaskisuo from Providence.

The moves came a day after Michael DiPietro, Vinni Lettieri and Jordan Oesterle were placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Providence.

Head coach Jim Montgomery hinted this week that multiple players would be called up from Providence so that the team could get another look at them before the roster cutdown deadline Monday.

Boston still has open spots up for grabs in the back end of its lineup, so Saturday could decide which players make the roster.
