The New England Patriots picked up a fairly comfortable victory over the New York Giants in Week 13, with the final score settling in at 33-15. Thanks to touchdowns from Marcus Jones and Kayshon Boutte, the Pats had a 17-0 lead early in this game that they never relinquished.
For much of the 2025 campaign, the Patriots have been notoriously bad on defense to begin the game, as they frequently allow their opponents to put points on the board on their first drive. After receiving the ball first, though, New England kicked a field goal before forcing New York to punt.
Of course, Jones ended up doing the offense’s job for them, as he housed the ensuing punt for a 94-yard touchdown. Right before the big play, Boutte ended up inadvertently predicting Jones’ score.
“We need seven instead of three,” Boutte said moments before Jones’ punt return score.
Jones has earned a reputation for ripping off big touchdowns this season, as this was his third score of the year, despite the fact that he plays on defense. Sure enough, after Boutte said the Patriots needed a touchdown, Jones went out and made sure his team found the end zone.

Having a big-play threat in Jones returning punts is huge for New England, and his success in all facets of the game is just one reason the team is 11-2 through 13 games. After enjoying Week 14 off, the Pats will return to action in Week 15 for a major divisional clash with the Buffalo Bills.
