Boston Bruins center Fraser Minten believes the team needs to start getting more respect.

The Bruins picked up a 4-1 home win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. Boston is firmly in a playoff spot. Entering the season, the Bruins were predicted to miss the playoffs.

With another win on Saturday, Bruins forward Fraser Minten believes Boston is a good team, and they continue to prove that.

“That we’re a good hockey team,” Minten said on Saturday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “We’re here to compete this season and push to be a playoff team. We have all the confidence in this room that we can do that.”

Minten scored the first goal of the game and finished with 14:47 of ice time.

Jeremy Swayman, meanwhile, was stellar for the Bruins again, and he knows this win was crucial for the team.

“That’s important at this stage, especially before Christmas, just knowing that we can play consistently well and get results from it,” Swayman said. “That is something that we can. We know this league can humble us, so every game is important, and the points are obviously really important at this time of year.”

The Bruins are now 17-13-0 and in second place in the Atlantic Division, and are on a two-game winning streak.

Boston will return to the ice on Tuesday on the road against the St. Louis Blues.
