The Boston Bruins are slated to play the seventh outdoor game in franchise history when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2026 NHL Winter Classic.

If you’re new around here, that means they get to wear specialty threads…

The NHL unveiled what those uniforms would look like during the first intermission of Thursday’s game between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and Philadelphia Flyers.

Boston’s new uniforms feature representation for all six New England states — Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut — inside the collar.

The Bruins have an extremely successful track record in outdoor games — which not only includes victories in five of six appearances in venues like Fenway Park, Lake Tahoe and Notre Dame Stadium, but some pretty incredible one-time-use uniforms.

The Lightning also had their new look unveiled, and will be playing in their second outdoor game after defeating the Nashville Predators in the 2022 NHL Stadium Series.
