The New England Patriots are gearing up for their biggest game of the season, as they will be taking on the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. With a chance to wrap up the AFC East division, the stakes could not be higher, and it seems like there’s a unique bit of added intrigue heading into this game.

The Pats took down the Bills in these two teams’ first matchup this season, as New England walked into Highmark Stadium and handed Buffalo a surprising 23-20 defeat on Sunday Night Football in Week 5. That helped kickstart the 10-game win streak the Patriots are riding as they prepare for this game.

Excitement levels for this game were already at an all-time high, but things may be getting even more interesting. That’s because initial weather forecasts for Sunday indicate that there’s a very high chance snow will be falling during this game.

In the eyes of many fans, football being played in snowy conditions is a thing of beauty. However, in the grand scheme of the game, it may actually present an advantage to the Bills for a couple of reasons.

For starters, Buffalo just took down the Cincinnati Bengals in a snow-filled game last weekend, so they are going to be more familiar with these conditions than New England. It’s also worth noting that Drake Maye struggled a bit early in the team’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when the conditions weren’t great, thanks to some heavy rainfall.

As if there wasn’t already enough to pay attention to ahead of this game, the weather could suddenly become a very important factor. The Patriots’ rematch with the Bills is set to get underway at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
