Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm believes the team did some good stuff on Sunday’s blowout loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Boston was concluding its three-game road trip on Sunday against Minnesota, and the Bruins struggled out of the gates. The Bruins trailed 3-0 after the second period and were down 5-0 nearly midway through the third period, en route to a lopsided 6-2 loss.

Although the Bruins suffered a 6-2 loss, Lindholm felt like the team played better than the score reflected.

“It is hard in this league when you get behind in the first in a lot of games,” Lindholm said on Sunday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “I still think 5-on-5, we did a lot of good stuff.

“I don’t think we should get too high or too low here. We’ve been doing some good stuff. Try to learn from games like this, get home and have some good wins there at TD Garden.”

Despite the blowout loss to Minnesota, the Bruins still went 2-1-0 on the three-game road trip, which is a success. Boston is 19-14-0 and holding onto the final Wild Card spot.

The Bruins will return to the ice on Tuesday at home against the Utah Mammoth, which is the first of a five-game homestand that takes Boston to the Christmas break.
