Jaylen Brown Ties Larry Bird For Most Consecutive 30-Point Games In Celtics History

Jaylen Brown didn’t need too much time on Sunday night to extend his 30-point streak. Brown did so about midway through the third quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers after dropping 27 points in the first half.

The Boston Celtics wing is now tied with legend Larry Bird for the most consecutive 30-point games in franchise history (nine).

Brown scored his 30th point on Saturday on a free throw. On Brown’s prior bucket — a tough layup in traffic — he achieved an entirely different milestone within franchise history, passing Bill Sharman for 12th on the Celtics’ all-time scoring list.

Earlier in December, Brown had passed Celtics legend Tommy Heinsohn to move into the No. 13 spot.

Amidst Brown making all of this history, the Celtics were battling in a one-possession game with the Blazers in the middle of the third quarter. Boston was seeking its fifth straight victory and 20th win of the 2025-26 season.

Brown entered the night averaging 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game this season.
