Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had an impressive regular season and is in the running for MVP, which left former New England wide receiver Julian Edelman naming his favorite thing about Maye’s game.

“His attitude,” Edelman said Monday on “The Herd”. “Just talking to people over there, everyone just talks about how he is so hungry to be coached and to learn, and it translates to how he is playing. He looks so confident. He makes it look so easy.”

Maye is just in his second season in the NFL, but he plays like a seasoned veteran every week. Although he is still young and lacks postseason experience, the Patriots shouldn’t be counted out in the playoffs.

The AFC is lacking a lot of veteran quarterbacks in this postseason, with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow sitting at home. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen could be the quarterback to beat in the AFC. However, Maye already beat him once this season and should’ve beaten him again.

It will be interesting to see how Maye performs in the postseason. If he plays as he did throughout the season, there’s a strong chance that New England could be on its way to the Super Bowl.
