The Boston Celtics secured a 125-117 victory against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night, doing it in front of a former teammate.

San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet made an appearance at the game and had a warm reunion with forward Jayson Tatum, who shook hands during a television timeout.

The Spurs will face the Celtics at TD Garden Saturday night, and Kornet got a close-up view of his former team.

Kornet spent two stints in Boston, with his first in 2020-21, then returning for 217 games from 2022 to 2025.

The Spurs signed Kornet to a four-year, $41 million contract this offseason, and he has been performing well, averaging 8.4 points and 6.7 rebounds over 29 games.

San Antonio boasts the second-best record in the Western Conference, standing at 26-11. If both the Spurs and the Celtics hit their stride during the postseason, they could very well face off in the NBA Finals come June.
