The New England Patriots advanced to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs after taking down the Los Angeles Chargers 16-3 on Sunday night.
The Patriots’ defense played great on Sunday, helping pave the way to another home playoff game. Their defense caught the attention of Maxx Crosby, who shouted out K’Lavon Chaisson on X during the game.
Chaisson had a monster game for the Patriots. He recorded three total tackles and had two sacks. He has proven to be a great addition to the Patriots. This season, he had 7 1/2 sacks in 16 games.
He also had 10 tackles for a loss in the regular season. He set a career high in defensive snaps played during the regular season. His sack total was also a career high. His previous career high in sacks was five, set last season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Even though Crosby and Chaisson were only teammates for one season, the five-time Pro Bowler is taking notice of Chaisson playing well. Chaisson and the Patriots’ defense will have another chance to make their presence felt next week.
Chaisson will be a free agent after the season, but he is giving the Patriots plenty of reasons to bring him back. Hopefully, his two-sack performance against the Chargers is an indication of more big games to come in this playoff run.
The Patriots will take on the winner of Monday night’s contest between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. As the two-seed, the Patriots already know the game will take place in Foxborough.
