The Patriots defensive line heard people saying Denver would have the edge in the trenches. But they had different plans.
The Broncos entered Sunday’s AFC Championship Game with, statistically, the best offensive line in the NFL. New England’s front seven responded with relentless pressure on quarterback Jarrett Stidham, including three sacks and one forced fumble, en route to a 10-7 road victory.
During postgame locker room availability, Mark Daniels of MassLive overheard a pair of Patriots defenders calling out Denver’s vaunted O-line.
“We’re here, and they’re the No. 1 o-line? Alright,” defensive tackle Khyris Tonga said, per Daniels.
“No. 1 offensive line can kiss my (expletive),” fellow D-tackle Milton Williams said.

Defensive tackle Christian Barmore also didn’t mince words when asked about All-Pro guard Quinn Meinerz.
“Our coach tells us all the time that All-Pro don’t mean s–t,” Barmore told reporters.

New England’s defense now will prepare for its final test: a matchup with the high-flying Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. You could argue the Seahawks will present the Patriots with the best offense and defense they’ve played all season.
Super Bowl LX will start at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, Calif.
