The New England Patriots made all kinds of NFL history with their 10-7 win over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
New England could make plenty more in Super Bowl LX vs. the Seattle Seahawks, as a victory in the big game would give the Patriots the most championships in league history with seven.
For as much as skeptics may point to New England’s easy schedule this season, the Patriots also did something that no other team in NFL history has done — go 9-0 on the road in a single campaign.
New England wrapped up the regular season with an 8-0 away mark for the third time in franchise history, which made Mike Vrabel just the second head coach ever to go undefeated on the road in their debut campaign with a team.
Following home wins against the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans to begin the playoffs, MVP candidate Drake Maye led the Patriots into Mile High and escaped with a close victory.

According to Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith, owner Robert Kraft presented Vrabel with a game ball from Sunday’s contest and informed the team of the achievement.
“No other team in the history of the NFL has gone 9-0 on the road,” Kraft told the New England locker room, per Smith.
Only three teams in NFL history (the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2007 New York Giants and 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers) have won nine road games in a season, but each of those groups fell at least once away from home that year too.
