New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s shoulder injury will continue to be a story until well after Super Bowl LX.
Is there reason to be concerned, though?
“Not much,” New England head coach Mike Vrabel said during his media availability on Thursday, per team-provided video.
“I try not to have a whole lot of concern. I just want to prepare the football team, and make sure that we’re ready and that we have a plan. I don’t want to surprise anybody.”
Vrabel was relatively quiet with regard to the specifics, but did mention that there was nothing prior to the AFC Championship and mentioned that he expects the sophomore signal-caller to participate normally in the lead up to the Super Bowl.

“I think we’re going to operate as we normally would here on a Wednesday,” Vrabel said, noting that the team was treating Thursday as if it were a Wednesday due to the travel schedule.
Maye was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday, though that injury report was projected due to the fact that the team didn’t actually practice.
