The Senior Bowl week is coming to a close in Mobile, Ala, and a handful of college players have made a name for themselves while trying to improve their chances for the 2026 NFL Draft.

One of the standout players is Florida’s defensive tackle, Caleb Banks who had an impressive week of practices. Banks could be a first-round pick, and according to Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport, he would be a nice fit for the New York Jets.

“There are no shortage of teams looking to bolster the defensive line, and if Banks continues to shine in workouts he may well not make it out of Round 1,” Davenport wrote on Friday. “But each and every year there are teams who trade back into Round 1 as the draft’s first day winds down, and with four picks in the top-50 no team is better-positioned for some moving and shaking than the Jets.

“There also may not be a team in the league more desperate to upgrade the interior of the defensive line, especially after the Jets dealt Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys during the 2025 campaign.”

Banks played five seasons in college, spending his first two years at Louisville before transferring to the Gators for his final three. Unfortunately, he suffered a broken foot this past season, which limited him to three games.

It will be interesting to see how Banks performs at the scouting combine and his pro day, as there could be some mystery surrounding where he is drafted, especially since he missed a significant portion of his last college season.
