Merci, Patrice: Celebrating Patrice Bergeron’s Remarkable Bruins Career
It’s hard to imagine the Bruins taking the ice without Patrice Bergeron in the Black and Gold.
That will be the reality this fall, however, after Boston’s captain announced his retirement Tuesday. In doing so, Bergeron put an official end to a remarkable 19-year career that started all the way back in 2003.
His No. 37 sweater will soon enough take its rightful place in the TD Garden rafters, and the best two-way forward of a generation should start making reservations in Toronto for a trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame in a few years.
Bergeron is a generational player worth celebrating, and NESN.com is doing just that. Here’s some of our best Bergeron-related content to celebrate the captain’s retirement and look back on a sensational career.
