Red Sox Nation Raises Over $4.6 Million for Jimmy Fund The seventh annual WEEI, NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon proved to be yet another huge success.

The two-day event raised over $4.6 million, the real winners of course being the children at the Jimmy Fund clinic. The goal was $4 million, which they easily surpassed.

“This morning, you get up and it looked like, ‘maybe they wouldn’t make that four million mark,'” said NESN’s Jerry Remy. “But boy, people came through big time today all day today and all night. It’s a great thing. It’s one of the strongest traditions I think between a charity and a sporting team anywhere in the country. It’s one of the strongest and always will be.”
