Report: Jason Bay Rejects Offer From Red Sox The Red Sox are apparently no closer to signing left fielder Jason Bay. Bay and his agent Joe Urbon have turned down the Red Sox' latest contract offer and are ready to "move on," Foxsports.com reports.

The reported offer to Bay was a four-year deal worth $60 million. But according to Urbon, there are better offers from other teams on the table, and Bay is prepared to play elsewhere.

"We don't agree with their evaluation of the player," Urbon told Foxsports.com.
"Frankly, we have other offers on the table that are of greater
interest to Jason."

ESPN.com reported on Thursday that the New York Mets offered Bay a four-year deal for somewhere between $60 million and $65 million. It is believed that Bay is seeking a five-year deal
