Adrian Beltre Can Regain Pop at Friendly Fenway Park

Adrian Beltre Can Regain Pop at Friendly Fenway Park Third baseman Adrian Beltre struggled in 2009, but when the latest Red Sox addition was away from the spacious Safeco Field in Seattle, Beltre had some pretty solid numbers.

The Red Sox are hoping that trend continues in 2010.

Beltre finished the summer with a .265 batting average and just eight home runs to go with 44 RBIs in 111 games played. However, Beltre hit .279 on the road — compared to .250 at home — suggesting that the Seattle ballpark gave the 2004 NL MVP runner-up some problems.

NESN Insiders Tony Massarotti from 98.5 The Sports Hub and Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe discussed what Beltre brings to the club.
