Randy Moss, Brandon Meriweather Added to Pro Bowl Roster The AFC Pro Bowl team lost a Patriots representative when Wes Welker went down in Sunday's season finale, but the All-Star squad gained two more Pats on Friday afternoon.

Wide receiver Randy Moss and safety Brandon Meriweather were named as alternates to the AFC Pro Bowl squad, joining quarterback Tom Brady, guard Logan Mankins and nose tackle Vince Wilfork.

It is Moss' seventh Pro Bowl selection and his first since his record-setting 2007 season. The wideout finished 2009 with 83 receptions for 1,264 yards, and he is tied for the NFL lead with 13 receiving touchdowns. Moss currently ranks sixth on the all-time receiving yards list with 14,465, and he ranks 10th in NFL history with 926 receptions.

Moss joins Jerry Rice (14 seasons) as the only players in NFL history to record 10 seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards.

This is Meriweather's first Pro Bowl selection. In 2009, the safety set career highs with five interceptions and 83 total tackles, which led all New England defensive backs for the second straight year.
