Tom Brady to Miss Pro Bowl Tom Brady will miss this year's Pro Bowl due to injuries, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

Brady suffered numerous injuries throughout the season, his first since missing all of the 2008 campaign with torn knee ligaments. He injured his shoulder in the preseason when 350-pound defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth drove him to the ground, and he also reportedly played through a broken finger and cracked ribs.

He'll be replaced on the Pro Bowl roster by Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. Schaub led the NFL with 4,770 passing yards this season, and he'll be appearing in his first Pro Bowl.

Brady was selected to the AFC Pro Bowl team for the fifth time this year, though he also missed after the 2005 and 2007 seasons. He also declined an invitation to the 2006 Pro Bowl as an injury replacement. This year, he was voted as the AP Comeback Player of the Year.

Logan Mankins, Brandon Meriweather and Vince Wilfork will be the Patriots' only representatives in this year's game, as Wes Welker, who finished with a league-most 123 receptions, is injured.
