The tradition of singing “Sweet Caroline” in the middle of the eighth inning at Fenway Park reached a whole new level on Sunday night when Neil Diamond stepped onto the warning track in right field and belted out the song in front of 37,000 fans.
For years, fans and ownership alike hoped to one day get the pop superstar to perform the tune at Fenway, and on Sunday night, they all finally got their wish.
