The Bruins have the chance to advance to the second round of the playoffs with a win in Buffalo on Friday, but B’s players understand the series is far from over.
“Nothing is done yet,” Zdeno Chara told Naoko Funayama on Thursday’s edition of SportsDesk. “We’ve put ourselves in a good position, but we need to win four games to win the series.”
Center Steve Begin understands the Sabres are in a do-or-die situation in Game 5.
“You never know what they’re gonna throw at us,” Begin said. “We have to be ready.”
The B’s have managed three consecutive victories after a 2-1 loss in Game 1. Coach Claudie Julien‘s team has “played for the moment,” and hopes the B’s will continue that style of play in Game 5.
“We gotta make sure that we’re ready to be at our best,” Julien said. “Playing for the moment has certainly made us a better hockey club.”
