“Come on, you’re not even going to make me go there,” Barros said. “Let’s move onto Ray Allen or Kobe Bryant.”
After asserting that Kobe has a slight edge at shooting guard, Barros explained that Kevin Garnett‘s defense is enough to hang with Pau Gasol.
“There’s been a lot of talk about Pau Gasol,” Barros said. “I think he’s had a tremendous year. He’s made great improvements since the ’08 championship, but we are talking about KG and the one thing he hasn’t lost is that enthusiasm on the defensive end.”
Barros didn’t see a distinct edge at the power forward position. But he had a surprising take on the coaching matchup, stressing that Phil Jackson has always had the benefit of a superstar.
“We’ve got the best team right now, and I look for Doc [Rivers] to do what he’s done every series — out-coach the opponent,” he said.
