Daniel Carcillo Continues Postseason Buffoonery By Head-Butting Tomas Kopecky After sitting out his team’s last three games, Flyers winger Daniel Carcillo returned to the ice for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

And guess what? He’s still a goon.

Carcillo, fresh off creaming teammate Jeff Carter with a devastating open-ice hit, gets into it with Chicago’s Tomas Kopecky. And by into it, I mean head-butting him.

Classy move, “Car Bomb.”

Quote of the day

“The ability is there in what he does, but he just needs continuous reps as all young players do to get comfortable in game situations. He’ll just continue to improve and move on.”
–Portland manager Arnie Beyeler, referring to pitching prospect Casey Kelly.

Comment of the day

This is what happens when you make a snide remark about Dustin Pedroia. You feel the wrath of one of his many laser-show minions.

“Just go away please!! Im so sick of jerks like you that think they have the answer and you probably couldnt throw a ball across the street! Now I’m sure youre going to say that you played AAA ball some place and all that crap but the truth be told, you know nothing about the game and less about the players, so have another beer and go back to sleep, you IDIOT!!!!!!”
–Gillie-not Gilles Gilbert
