The Red Sox are back in business, having won 10 of their last 13 contests. Although they’re still plagued with key injuries, the Sox are playing their best baseball of the young season and they are going to have to keep it up through June as there are some tough interleague opponents on the horizon.

Although they remain five games behind the red-hot Rays for first place, they trail the second-place Yankees by just 2 1/2 games and the third-place Blue Jays by 1 1/2 games. The Sox are presented with a golden opportunity to make up some ground in the division as they are facing a seemingly light schedule for the next 10 days with Oakland, Baltimore and Cleveland on the docket.

Following this stretch, the Sox will head back into interleague action when they take on the reigning NL champion Phillies at Fenway in the second weekend of the month. After that, they’ll host Manny Ramirez and the Dodgers the following weekend for arguably the most anticipated series of the season. Capping of the month will be a trip to the West Coast to take on Tim Lincecum and the Giants.

Gary in Ayer, Mass., wants to know: which June series are you most looking forward to? If it’s against the Phillies at Fenway, text “SOX1” to 542542. If it’s against the Dodgers at Fenway, text “SOX2” to 542542. If it’s against the Giants in San Francisco, text “SOX3” to 542542.
