Aerosmith Bassist Tom Hamilton Joins Red Sox Gameday Live Crew on Sixth Annual Conquer Cancer Day Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton appeared on Red Sox Gameday Live on Friday prior to throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park, as part of the sixth annual Conquer Cancer Day.

Hamilton was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2006, but still plans to perform with the rest of the band at Fenway Park on Aug. 14, along with J. Geils Band.

Hamilton, who joined Tom Caron, Peter Gammons, and Jim Rice on the field, said that he was not afraid at all to throw out the first pitch in front of the sold out crowd. He also insisted that more players in the majors should have long hair.
