Robinson came alive during the postseason, causing all eyes to follow the energetic point guard who exploded off the bench in clutch situations. His endearing "Shrek and Donkey" relationship with forward Glen Davis is also a huge draw for fans and media alike, as it's exciting to see such a dynamic relationship come off the bench for the C's.
"It is great to have Nate back and we think that he can contribute more significantly this upcoming season after a full training camp with the team," said Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge. "He helped us win some crucial playoff games this past postseason and we believe that we will see great things from him this coming season."
Last season, Robinson split time between the New York Knicks and the Celtics and averaged 10.1 points and 2.9 assists per game. In his 26 games played for Boston, he shot 41.4 percent from 3-point range. Robinson came to the Celtics in a trade for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker on Feb. 18.
Per team policy, the details of the deal were not disclosed, though The Boston Globe reported that it's worth $9 million over two years.
