LeBron James Decides to Sign With Miami Heat The choice has been made, ladies and gentlemen. LeBron James is going to play for the Miami Heat.

In a 60-minute special on ESPN on Thursday night, James claimed he made the final choice earlier that morning after a long conversation with his mother. He also stated that he told the chosen team's administration just minutes before the special aired.

After seven seasons playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and several weeks of keeping the sports world on pins and needles, The King has abdicated his Ohio throne and made the move to South Beach. The event will go down in history as one of the most speculated and anticipated decisions in all of sports.

LBJ will join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, who said they would sign with the team on Wednesday. It was speculated that the trio had planned and conspired to play together months ago, creating an organization that would help nab LeBron's first championship.

James posts a career average of 27.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He has been named the Most Valuable Player of the NBA twice and is a six-time All-Star.
