Celtics great Dennis Johnson was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this past weekend, an honor that many felt was a long time coming.
Johnson’s wife, Donna, stopped by NESN Daily to talk about what being inducted to the Hall of Fame would have meant to her late husband.
“I think this weekend would have been so special for him,” she told Jade McCarthy and Uri Berenguer. “It would have been the icing on the cake. It was the final end of his career and he worked so hard to get here.”
Basketball legends Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were in Springfield over the weekend and both had extremely high praise for the way Dennis Johnson played the game.
