Hope you're hungry, Red Sox Nation.

Sox fans are invited to the Beckett Burger Bash featuring the first Annual McGreevy’s Big-Mouth Beckett Burger Eating Challenge to benefit the Josh Beckett Foundation. The event takes place after the Sox take on Seattle at Fenway park on Wednesday, August 25.

The Beckett Burger Eating Competition winner will receive a pair of Josh Beckett’s Red Sox tickets to an upcoming home game.

Price of admission is just $10 at the door and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Josh Beckett Foundation.

The McGreevy’s Big-Mouth Beckett Burger is approximately the size of home plate. It features lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cheddar cheese atop 25 ounces of 100 percent beef.

For those interested in attempting to take down the McGreevy’s Big-Mouth Beckett Burger faster than anyone else, e-mail Katie@McGreevysBoston.com. The bar will be choosing just 10 people for the competition. In order to participate in the competition you must raise $125 for the Josh Beckett Foundation.

Every McGreevy’s Beckett Burger order comes with a free t-shirt and those who finish the burger receive a t-shirt announcing that they beat the burger. However, patrons who strike out and fail to finish the burger are given a t-shirt announcing that the burger beat them.
