Low-Number Red Sox/Jimmy Fund License Plate Auctions Begin Aug. 23 Starting Aug. 23, Massachusetts drivers can bid on new low-number Red Sox/Jimmy Fund license plates. The license plate auctions are sponsored by Arbella. Proceeds of the auctions will benefit the Jimmy Fund.

The Red Sox license plates have been popular ever since their inception — so popular, in fact, that the "RS" plates are running out. Starting in November, a new plate will be released with the letters "JF" replacing "RS." The Red Sox logo is staying, of course.

The license plate auctions will feature highly coveted single-number plates, along with plate numbers representing important numbers associated with dates and numbers in Red Sox team history. The auctions run from Aug. 23-30.

Visit jimmyfund.org for more information about the auctions.
