Though Marco Scutaro is experiencing pain in his throwing shoulder, the Red Sox' shortstop told NESN's Heidi Watney it wouldn't keep him out of Saturday's lineup.
Scutaro was questionable earlier Saturday, when the rotator cuff in his right shoulder began bothering him more than usual. He decided he would play through the pain for the start against the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday night at Fenway Park.
Scutaro has been getting treatment on the shoulder, which he said likely became injured when he dove for a ball earlier in the week, but a cortisone shot was not included in that treatment process. He has mostly been using other forms of treatment, including massage therapy.
