Who Is the American League Cy Young Front-Runner? With the top two teams baseball, it should come as no surprise that the AL East has four Cy Young contenders.

The Red Sox, although in third place, have one of the game's top hurlers in righty Clay Buchholz. Buchholz picked up his 15th win of the season on Sunday to improve his record to 15-5 with an
AL-best 2.26 ERA.

The Yankees have also been pleasantly surprised this season with a young pitcher of their own in Phil Hughes, who is 15-5 with a 3.90 ERA. The 24-year-old righty won 10 of his first 11 decisions. But leading the way for the Yankee staff is lefty CC Sabathia.
In his second season in the Bronx, the southpaw has an AL-most 17 wins to
go with a 3.02 ERA. The big ace has lost just two games since May 23.

In Florida, the Rays have David Price,
who has a 15-5 record and a 2.97 ERA in just his third major league
season. The 25-year-old has allowed more than three earned runs in just three starts this season, but has won just one decision in his last four starts.
