Bruins Reportedly Shopping Savard, Listening to Trade Offers for Center

Bruins Reportedly Shopping Savard, Listening to Trade Offers for Center Despite the fact that Marc Savard has publicly announced he wants to remain a Boston Bruin, the front office is reportedly turning their ears toward trade offers for the dynamic center.

ESPN.com's James Murphy, called in to Tuesday night's NESN Daily to discuss the Bruins' process with Savard. According to Murphy, sources have confirmed that the Bruins are actively shopping Savard, and are listening to trade offers from other teams interested in acquiring the center for the upcoming season.

Murphy also discussed the current NHL investigation that surrounds Savard's contract. He says teams are backing off the pursuit for Savard because his contract is a touchy situation in the league.

"As of right now it appears Savard will go to camp with the Bruins," Murphy said. "But that doesn't mean his name's not out there and it doesn't mean something can't change in the near future."
